Update

Ok... so as you can see... tour is keeping me very busy! I feel so awful for not updating my blog. So much has happened in the past month. To begin, the cast received the news that tour would be ending in May. Not such bad news... maybe a tad bit surprising. The only thing that changes for me is that all the things I had planned on doing in New York, I have to do in May. Anyways, I had a break in New York a couple of weeks ago. It was a lot of fun... but it gave me a new found appreciation for tour. I went to an audition in the city which brought back so many memories. In case you are unfamiliar with the audition process for a musical... here is a little synopsis. One basically gets up at the crack of dawn to sign up for an audition time, and considering where I lived in NY, majority of the time I am in the #s between 130-250. You wait at the audition all day to finally either get heard by sometime around 3 or so, or you are told that there are too many people for you to get seen and now they will be no longer viewing anyone else... and perhaps you are welcomed to leave your headshot and resume.
So with that being said, I went to an audition with over 400 people auditioning and I ended up being number 239. Needless to say, I wasn't seen until about 3 or 3:30 after having being there since around 8. I came back on tour with the feelings of gratefulness that God granted me a job right in my field while there were 399 other people at the audition hoping to get what I have. So for that, I am thankful.
Currently I am in my room hungry and exhausted. I am a bit lonely... but this is nothing new for me. Oh well... I have a full week of one nighters and tomorrow not only do I have a show, but also a four hour rehearsal... but hey it's the life I chose!! Ta ta for now...
