Life After Tour, New town, new show!

Hello everyone!

It has been some time since I have blogged about life. So, I guess some of you have been wondering what has been going on with me... so here it goes!
After tour, I went home for about a week and then returned right back to NYC into the audition season for summer. Life has been a tad bit hectic since my return. It literally entailed starting from scratch. I had to find a new job if I didn't get into any summer shows. This job would have to last until the next audition season or tour... so... I became a waitress again. My living situation... well... needless to say, was rough! I moved a total of 4 times in the past 4 months. I lived with some great people too!... Due to other circumstances, I constantly had to move. Overall, my summer has been a roller coaster. I saw many great performers this summer... mostly for free! The list includes Maxwell, Anita Baker, Jazmine Sullivan, Robin Thicke, Chrisette Michelle and Charlie Wilson. So much inspiration! I also had a great time with friends... making new ones and catching up with the old ones too. They are really supportive, and I thank God for them daily, because really, they're a big inspiration too!
Anyways, I am currently in Ashland, Oregon, preparing for a 70s musical review. I'm so thankful to God for this opportunity because I get to showcase my vocal abilities. I am singing an array of songs from the 60s and 70s, plus I am singing solos! Ashland is a beautiful place... in my earlier blog I spoke about how I fell in love with Portland, and this city as well does not disappoint. I am surrounded by beautiful lush mountains and a beautiful town. It feels good to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city. I come here in hopes of doing some soul searching and really figuring out my life and everything that I have had and been dealing with. I love what I do and the woman I have become... but I need to find out more, especially with my career... and of course, draw closer to Him. Well, I leave you with a song that has been in my head for some time now... and I believe it captures the relationship I have with music. Take care, and peace and blessings to you and yours. ~Amber
