I've got joy!

Good morning bloggers! Welcome back to my page. I am up quite early on a Saturday morning (9 am... ) Anyways, this week is/was the first real week of performances. I must say, I enjoy being a performer. To know that all I have to do is work for 3 hours/day is amazing. Well, at least when you're not on the road, it seems to be like that. The show has gotten nothing but great reviews! It's pretty exciting because the reviews mention all the cast members (all 5 of us) and compliments each of us and our vocal style. Sooooo exciting. I must mention that vocal rest that I take just about everyday also helps. When I do talk for too long, I feel it... and it just gives me a different perspective on how my voice works and when it works its best... not to mention that again, I am at a higher altitude (mountains) and even though I have been here for a month, and my body has adapted more to this environment, it is still a challenge for me! It's also great that I have a teacher here because she is very encouraging and so helpful in trying to take me to the next level in my career.
I also must say that I LOVE my castmates. They're so awesome and fun! We all feel very close to each other and I think it shows so much on stage. Everyone gives each other eye contact and has so much fun and really gets into character in the show. We tend to feel like we don't spend enough time with each other (even though we were with each other daily during the 3 week rehearsal process and we see each other 5 days/week at the show), but we try and hang out for a bit on our days off every now and again (remember we take vocal rest) and after the show sometimes (except Saturdays because the 2 show day on Sunday is brutal!) Monday night I think is a usual because we know that we have the next 2 days to ourselves. I will really miss them when our time here is done... and I'll miss not being super busy so I am going to enjoy it as much as possible.
Well, before I go I must say that I am excited about the next chapter of my life... I'll tell you more about it in a later post. Peace and blessing to you and yours! Bye! :-)
